Story 6

Writer: humansofwinchesterunihumansofwinchesteruni

“Although I regularly use the toilets at university, I haven’t actually done a poo in one. I’m really shy about peeing and pooing in public toilets. I always use a cubicle – I think there’s something wrong with me. I’m a proud pee-er and poo-er. Personally, my favourite toilet is in SAB – there is a variety of cubicles and you can usually find a couple of clean ones. However, if the option of an empty, disabled toilet offered itself, I would probably oblige it. But, actually, there is no toilet like my home toilet; specifically, the upstairs one which is quiet, comfortable and toasty warm. My mate tells me that if I went in the army my problem would be cured within 24 hours. I’m totally lazy at the moment. While these two-week assignment extensions that we’ve been given might be a blessing for some students, for me they are a curse. I rely on the pressure of looming deadlines to motivate me. I’ve been trying to pretend that they haven’t been extended; sadly, to no avail. But, when the time comes, the pressure will break me back into shape as usual. I wonder why I can’t get going… either in the toilet or on my PC.”
