Story 2

Writer: humansofwinchesterunihumansofwinchesteruni

"I can’t get on with my studies when I have these torrential nosebleeds. Nosebleeds run in the family – oh! Pardon the pun. I just sit on the toilet and mop up the blood with toilet roll and wait for the bleeding to stop. It’s such a nuisance. Maybe I’m stressed. My daughter is expecting her second child soon and things have been difficult for her in the past. My three-and-a-half-year-old grandson, Edward, is the apple of my eye, but he has to come second when an assignment is due. I can’t childmind or babysit when a deadline looms. My daughter is ok with that. On Saturday Edward came to stay the night. We watched The Tiger Who Came to Tea in the afternoon; then we made hot chocolate in the evening to take to bed with us. I’d made a nest in the bed and put on the electric blanket. I read bedtime stories to him. Maybe one day I’ll be reading from a book that I’ve had published."
